More leaders quit Imran Khan’s PTI

Former PTI MNA Haider Ali and former MPA Javed Akhtar parted ways with the Imran Khan-led party.

Since the May 9 event, top leadership and others have parted ways with the party. PTI vice-chairman Fawad Chaudhry, Shireen Mazari, and Fayaz Chohan are a few of them.

Moreover, General Secretary Asad Umar has also resigned from all posts since his release from jail.

In the latest development, former MNA Dr Haider Ali has announced to leave PTI. He joined the Pakistan People’s Party.

PPP leader Faisal Karim Kundi welcomed Haider to the party and said their party has always respected the workers and leaders, whenever there is a difficult time.

The workers and leaders stayed together, said Kundi, and claimed that Imran Khan will soon seek political asylum in America.

Former Adviser to Punjab Chief Minister Javed Akhtar Ansari has also resigned from PTI.

Addressing a press conference in Multan, Javed Ansari said that he strongly condemn the May 9 events, and stand with the Pakistan Army.

Javed Akhtar Ansari said that he has been a member of PTI twice and still Imran Khan has given him a ticket from his constituency. “But I return the party ticket, there is no pressure on us.”

He said that he would decide his political future after consulting friends.
