New Zealand have arrived in Pakistan to play the white-ball series starting on April 14 in Lahore.
The Blackcaps will play five ODIs and the same number of T20Is in their second tour of the country in six months.
The squad reached Lahore via Dubai. They were welcomed by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) officials upon their arrival at the Allama Iqbal International Airport.
Their tour will start with a five-match T20I series on April 14 in Lahore. They will also play matches in Rawalpindi and Karachi.
“It has been a big couple of days, our travel started in Queenstown on Sunday, and here we are now, it’s 2 AM in Pakistan,” said Daryl Mitchell after touching down in Lahore. “All the boys are very tired, looking forwards to getting into our rooms to have some rest also very excited to be in Pakistan.”
Experienced pace duo Tim Southee and Trent Boult will miss the Blackcaps’ limited-over tour due to their Indian Premier League commitments.
Former Pakistan head coach Saqlain Mushtaq will also be joining the visitors as the team consultant for the tour.
