Soldier, two civilians martyred in suicide blast in Miranshah: ISPR

A Pakistan Army soldier and two civilians were martyred in a suicide blast in the general area Miran Shah, North Waziristan District on Monday, the military’s media wing said in a statement.

“Naik Abid (age 33 years, resident of Mansehra) and two civilians embraced martyrdom while one civilian was injured in the incident,” the Inter-Services Public Relations said.

In another incident, 15 people including three children were injured as two blasts rocked Balochistan’s Khuzdar district on Monday evening.

All the injured persons in both explosions have been shifted to the hospital where the four people are said to be in critical condition.

Soon after the blast security forces cordoned off the area. Further investigations are underway.

Deputy Commissioner and SSP Khuzdar reached the hospital and inquired about the health condition of the injured.

On December 15, a blast on Datta Khel road in North Waziristan’s Miranshah left a Pakistan Army soldier and a civilian dead and nine others injured.

According to the ISPR, the martyred soldier was identified as Havaldar Muhammad Ameer (age 30 years, resident of Mianwali).
