Two separate gun attacks in North Waziristan and Hangu districts in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province left six people dead, including two women on Saturday.
Passenger vans were targeted in both incidents and one of them was set on fire.
Early morning, unidentified gunmen fired bullets at a van in the Mir Ali tehsil of the North Waziristan district. The attack left three people dead.
The gunmen also set the vehicle on fire.
One of the victims has been identified as Kurram Khan from Khudi village. Officials said they were trying to determine the identities of the other two bodies.
In the second incident in the Hangu district’s wrasta area, gunmen attacked another van, killing three people, including two women. Several others were wounded.
Police said the bodies and the injured have been moved to a local hospital.
Security forces were conducting a search operation in the area to find the attackers who fled after the attack.
