Imran Khan to be arrested soon as corruption has been proven against him: Nawaz Sharif

Former prime minister and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) supremo Nawaz Sharif said on Saturday that PTI chief Imran Khan and former accountability adviser Shehzad Akbar should hang their heads in shame after the Sharif family was acquitted by the London courts and the Daily Mail’s apology.

“A man who is corrupt from head to toe is leveling allegations of corrupt practices against those who got evidence of innocence from UK’s courts,” the former premier said speaking to the journalists in London. He said that Imran Khan is accused of corruption which had been proven and he would be soon arrested.

The former prime minister claimed that a conspiracy was hatched to defame the political leaders and urged the people to ponder over the deeds and corruption of the PTI leaders.

The PML-N supremo claimed that more evidence against the PTI chief in the Billion Tree project and Al-Qadir Trust case would surface. “Corruption of over Rs50 billion was committed in these projects while the poor masses are struggling to even get minimum wage of Rs20,000,” Nawaz said.

He said that the nation should understand all this in depth. He said that the PML-N leaders keep getting booked in cases without reason and that he was exiled for no reason.

“A hijacking case was also filed against me. I was disqualified for not receiving a salary from my son,” the former premier said.

Nawaz Sharif has been living in London since November 2019 after he was granted permission to leave the country for medical treatment.
