Threat alert: Female suicide bomber to possibly carry out attack in Quetta

After the banned Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) announced last week ending the ceasefire agreement with the state, its violent campaign against the state had been picking up pace. The banned outfit ordered its militants to carry out attack “wherever and whenever they can”.

Central Police Office (CPO) Quetta has issued a threat alert saying that a female suicide bomber had reportedly volunteered herself for carrying out a suicide attack on law enforcement agencies (LEAs) in Quetta.

“It is learnt that she [suicide bomber] is currently living with Daesh terrorist Ghulam Din alias Shoaib at undisclosed location in district Mastung,” said the threat alert issued in this regard, adding that the terrorists of the banned organization were planning to carry out suicide attack.

The CPO has requested all SPs of the city to take necessary action to avoid any untoward incident.

Last week, at least five people, including two policemen and a woman and her two chidren, died while more than two dozen others sustained injuries in a suicide attack on a law enforcers’ vehicle, deputed to guard polio teams, in Quetta’s Baleli area.
