A terrorist commander of a banned outfit was killed and three others were arrested in injured condition in exchange of firing with the security forces in district Khyber, the military’s media wing said in a statement on Tuesday.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the security forces were conducting a joint search operation with Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, in area when terrorists opened fire on them during which a 28-year-old soldier from Swabi, Salim Khan, embraced martyrdom.
Security forces effectively targeted the hideouts of the terrorists, resulting in the killing of one of the most wanted terrorist commanders, Liaquat Ali alias Shaheen.
These terrorists were wanted for attacking government officials and law enforcement authorities.
A huge cache of arms and ammunition were also recovered from their possession.
