Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said on Wednesday that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairperson Imran Khan was using the senior journalist Arshad Sharif’s tragic killing for petty politics.
“Imran Niazi is playing a dangerous game,” the premier said in a tweet and advised the PTI chief to remain patient and wait for the findings of the Judicial Commission.
Earlier in the day, the interior ministry reconstituted the team formed to probe the killing of the senior journalist in Kenya.
A two-member investigation team instead of three-member would probe the killing of the journalist, said the new notification issued by the interior ministry.
The new committee would comprise Federal Investigation Agency Director Athar Waheed and Intelligence Bureau Director General Omar Shahid Hameed. Earlier, Inter-Services Intelligence Lieutenant Colonel Saad Ahmed was also part of the team.
