With another 75 deaths reported in the last 24 hours, the recent rains and floods have claimed 1,136 lives so far across the country, the National Disaster Management Authority said in its daily situation report Monday.

Among those killed, 501 were men, 227 were women and 386 were children.

The highest number of deaths have been reported in Sindh, with 402 casualties so far. Here is the provincial breakdown of the number of deaths sine June 14.

• Sindh: 402 deaths (151 men, 69 women and 160 children)
• Khyber Pakhtunkhwa: 258 deaths (114 men, 36 women and 106 children)
• Balochistan: 244 deaths (116 men, 55 women and 73 children)
• Punjab: 168 deaths (87 men, 42 women and 39 children)
• Azad Jammu & Kashmir: 41 deaths (27 men and 14 women)
• Gilgit-Baltistan: 22 deaths (5 men, 11 women and 6 children)
• Islamabad Capital Territory: 1 death (man).

According to the report, another 1,634 people have been injured due to the floods. Sindh has the highest number of flood and rain-related injuries with 1,055 cases, with KP next with 338 cases.

During this period, more than 735,000 animals part of livestock were either killed or swept away.

Almost 3,500 kilometres of roads have been damaged or become inaccessible, cutting off towns and villages from the rest of the country.

Over a million houses have been damaged, including 300,000 that have been completely swept away.
