Pakistan’s Mufti Abdul Shakur speaks at the Grand Hajj Symposium

SAUDI ARABIA: The Grand Hajj Symposium was organised and held by the Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah yesterday. The Minister of Religious Affairs, Mufti Abdul Shakur, represented Pakistan at the event.

“The occasion of Hajj is a great manifestation of the unity of the Muslim Ummah,” the minister said in his address to the participants of the symposium, “Hajj is an event in which Islamic scholars from all over the world are represented, therefore, we consider it an important event.”

The minister further said that the world of Islam was grateful to the Saudi leadership, who had always played their role in making Hajj arrangements ideal.

The Saudi Minister of Hajj and Umrah, Dr Tawfiq Al-Rubayeh, and the General Presidency for the Affairs of the Two Holy Mosques, Dr Abdul Rahman Al-Sudais expressed that Hajj was a great duty and they had always strived to provide the best services to the guests of Allah.

Ministers of other Muslim countries and other important personalities also addressed the symposium.
