During pandemic travel restrictions a lot of Pakistanis rediscovered the north. But as many flocked to Hunza and adjoining areas, there are still lesser-known paths that can be taken to lakes virtually untouched by humans.
Sambak Sar Lake in Upper Kaghan Valley is one of them. The lake is a trek away from the Babusar Top and is also visible from there.
There is a jeep track, right before Babusar Lake that you can take deep into the valley to Dharam Sar Lake. From here, Sambak Sar is an hour’s trek away.
Sambak Sar Lake is situated at a height of 13,700 feet.
