Top PTI leadership approached PML-N leader Ayaz Sadiq and the NA Speaker Raja Pervaiz Ashraf in order to get a date for early election ahead of the Imran Khan-led long march to the federal capital, says Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz leader Maryam Nawaz.
“PTI leaders Fawad Chaudhry and Asad Qaiser approached PML-N’s Ayaz Sadiq and urged him to announce an election date,” she said while addressinga press conference in Lahore. “They requested Sadiq to save them from the long march.”
On Wednesday (today) at 10am, PTI leaders Pervaiz Khattak, Asad Umar and Shah Mahmood Qureshi, requested the National Assembly speaker to assign them a place for their rally in Islamabad, she added.
PML-N chief Nawaz Sharif rejected any pressure from the PTI leaders.
The PML-N defeated Imran Khan today who had snatched the former’s mandate in Punjab by “installing” ex-CM Usman Buzdar, she said.
“The government has taken revenge from Khan today.
“Farah Gogi was behind all the corruption in Punjab and all the money was transferred to Bani Gala,” the PML-N leader said.
“Political stability in the country will be achieved and Pakistan will move forward under Nawaz Sharif and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.”
The PML-N leader thanked people of the country for “not supporting” Imran Khan and his long march. She claimed that the PTI failed to gather even 300 people in Punjab.
