Opposition completely satisfied with MQM-P, confident of support on no-trust move: Fazl

JUI-F chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman said that the united opposition was completely at ease with the Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P) and confident of its support while adding that the PDM would take one more day to announce the decision regarding the opposition's no-confidence motion against Prime Minister Imran Khan.

Talking to reporters alongside MQM Convenor Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui after visiting MQM-P’s Bahadurabad office on Tuesday, Fazl said that the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government is isolated and no longer enjoys support of its allies.

Fazl also highlighted the use of derogatory and abusive language by the premier for his political rivals, adding that the no-trust motion against Imran would certainly be a success.

Speaking on the occasion, MQM-P Convener Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui said that his party values the opinion and advice of Maulan Fazlur Rehman.

He further said that no opposition party in the country has faced the kind of circumstances that MQM-P has been going through the last 15 years.

On being part of the government, he said there was no point when the premier has no authority.

"Instead of being in the government, over 300 MQM-P's political workers are missing," Maqbool said, adding that they had joined the government in the hope that it would give them a reason to stay.

Fazl visited Karachi to meet the MQM-P leadership to seek their support for the opposition’s no-confidence motion against the premier during the National Assembly session scheduled on March 25.

Earlier in the day, Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui and other members of the Rabta committee welcomed the opposition leader upon his arrival at the Bahadurabad office.
