Priyanka Chopra and her husband Nick Jonas have welcomed their first child via surrogate, the couple announced in their Instagram posts on Saturday.
“We are overjoyed to confirm that we have welcomed a baby via surrogate,” it read
The couple, who had been open to starting a family together, asked for privacy “during this special time as we focus on our family.” They did not disclose the baby’s name or gender in the post.
Jonas, the American singer, and Chopra, Hollywood-Bollywood actor, got married in 2018 in India after dating for four years. Earlier this month, she told Vanity Fair in its cover story that having kids was very “much a hope of the couple” but she was also "terrified."
