Maryam Nawaz takes a jab at PM after reports of his rift with Pervez Khattak

PML-N vice president Maryam Nawaz Sharif called Prime Minister Imran Khan a liar, conspirator, and tyrant on Thursday after media reported that the premiere had a verbal altercation with defence minister Pervez Khattak during PTI’s parliamentary party.

Nawaz took to Twitter and said that the treatment of the PM by his party member is “fate,” and “this is the system of Allah on which the world operates”. “This is just the beginning,” she said.

“Getting your hands dirty with crime for a few days of premiership is an utter loss,” she added.

The PML-N leader was referring to the events that occurred during PTI’s parliamentary meeting on Thursday. According to Aaj News, the PM got into a heated argument with defence minister Pervez Khattak who said that "we made you the premier through our votes."

Khattak along with other members of the party shared concern over the mini-budget, inflation, and the State Bank of Pakistan’s bill. The issue of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa facing gas and electricity shortage despite being the producer of the entities was also brought up.

“We have voted for you to become the prime minister, but if your behavior remains the same, then we will not vote for you the next time,” said Khattak, to which the PM replied, “If you are not satisfied with me then, I will hand this government to somebody else.”

Later on, when media question Khattak about the altercation he said that he never agreed with the premiere and said that “Imran Khan is my leader.”
