The police on Tuesday claimed to have arrested one of three suspects accused of the gang-rape of two girls at a house in the Defence Housing Authority area of Lahore.
According to police, the other two suspects managed to escape along with valuables and the cell phones of the three girls.
They added that the investigation was under way for the arrest of the other two suspects.
As per details, three unidentified persons entered the house when three girls were at the house, read the FIR registered against the three suspects in the DHA C police station. It added that they gang-raped two of the girls at the house
Reacting to the development, Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar took notice of the incident and sought a report from the CCPO Lahore.
Buzdar called for immediate arrest of the remaining suspects and instructed authorities to ensure that the survivors are provided justice.
