KARACHI: Officials from the Sindh education department have found secret cameras installed in the women’s washroom of a private school in Karachi.
The officials confirmed that they found secret cameras from the washroom during their visit to The Haracks School in Safoora Goth area of Karachi.
According to the officials, a teacher had lodged a complaint with the education department regarding the cameras, following which, a team of education department officials had visited the school.
“Hidden CCTV cameras were installed behind a street with holes in the area of the washbasins situated with the toilets of girls and boys washrooms,” a notification issued by the Sindh Directorate of Inspection/Registration of Private Institutions stated.
A show-cause notice was issued to the school’s management, and the principal was told to appear before the directorate’s office, the officials said.
