Prime Minister Imran Khan held a meeting with Punjab Governor Chaudhry Muhammad Sarwar on Friday in which they discussed administrative and political issues of the province, including the opposition's protest plans.
The opposition Pakistan Democratic Movement, had announced protests against increasing inflation across the country.
In related news, the Tehreek-e-Labbaik Pakistan has also announced a "peaceful Namoos-e-Risalat march" to Islamabad after Jumma prayers on Friday (today).
PM Imran arrived in Lahore on Friday on a day-long visit.
