Pakistan's Ambassador to Afghanistan Mansoor Ahmad Khan called on Afghanistan Foreign Minister designate Amir Khan Muttaqi in Kabul on Tuesday.
Bilateral cooperation particularly facilitating humanitarian, economic and people to people exchanges between the two countries were discussed during the meeting.
In a tweet, Taliban spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid said that during the meeting, Afghan foreign minister Amir Muttaqi and Ambassador Mansoor briefly discussed issues related to Chaman-Spin Boldak border crossing.
"Discussed strengthening bilateral cooperation particularly facilitating humanitarian, economic and people to people exchanges," Ambassador Mansoor Khan tweeted.
On the other hand, the United States has once again called on Pakistan to play its due role in the Afghan situation.
US Secretary of State Antony Blinken said at the press conference that Pakistan should stand with the international community, adding that the United States will be looking at its relationship with Pakistan in the coming weeks.
