Following the unofficial results from Sunday's elections, the PTI is set to form the next government in AJK Legislative Assembly.
PTI won in 25 constituencies, followed by the Pakistan Peoples Party in 10 constituencies and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz in six constituencies. Two local parties secured a vote each as well.
A report in Monday's Dawn says the top two contenders for the post of prime minster are from the PTI: Sardar Tanveer Ilyas and Barrister Sultan Mahmood. Fawad Chaudhry also said the same in an interview to a TV channel but said the final decision will be made by Prime Minister Imran Khan.
Tanveer seems to be a stronger candidate, much to the displeasure of Barrister Mahmood Dawn reports.
