Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah has declared coronavirus vaccination mandatory for every citizen of the province.
Presiding over a meeting of the Provincial Task Force on coronavirus in Karachi on Thursday, he directed the health department to establish vaccination coverage facilities in every nook and corner of the province.
Murad Ali Shah also directed the Chief Secretary to give a month to all the government employees for getting them vaccinated and stop salaries of those officials who fail.
Briefing the meeting, Health Secretary Dr. Kazim Jatoi said that 26812 outbound passengers were tested, out of which 55 cases were positive and were placed in isolation, 14 people came in contact with 4 Indian variant patients who are being tested.
The Sindh Chief Minister directed the 300 BHUs of the province to set up vaccination centers and set a target of 30,000 doses per day in the vaccination centers.
Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah said that the mobile vaccination team would administer 60,000 doses daily while 90 private hospitals have been targeted to administer 10,000 doses daily.
