Pakistan has launched the third phase clinical trials of Covid19 vaccine cansino.
The National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC) meeting was held to give a media briefing regarding the current situation of coronavirus and the second phase of reopening schools for secondary students across the country.
During the meeting, the participants were briefed about the clinical trials of coronavirus vaccine. According to the briefing, the first two phases of vaccine trials were held in China while the 3rd phase trials are being conducted in Pakistan by joint venture of NIH and Casino China.
While giving a media briefing, Special Assistant Dr. Faisal Sultan said that vaccine trial against coronavirus has started in Pakistan while the vaccine trials are also important for the improvement in health system. "I congratulate my team on vaccine trials", Dr. Faisal Sultan added.
Taking it to Twitter, Federal Minister Asad Umar said, "Just launched the phase 3 trials for a Covid19 vaccine in Pakistan. Vaccine has been developed by a Chinese company."
"A total of 40,000 people will participate in this trial in 7 countries, of which 8 to 10, 000 will be Pakistani. Initial results expected in 4 to 6 months", Asad Umar concluded.
