WEB DESK: We have noticed that foreign media, on several occasion had mistaken Deepika Padukone with her rival actress Priyanka Chopra. But Padukone maintained her cool really well.

It seems like the Baji Rao Mastani actress was waiting for a right moment to react on such confusion. Finally, she reacted, called out foreign media and called their act as an act of racism.

We have seen a video last month at Los Angeles airport where the media called her Priyanka Chopra as she came out, however, she did not respond and went straight towards her car.

The Om Shanti Om actress faced similar situation on promotions of her Hollywood debut xXx: Return of Xander Cage where she was again called Priyanka.

However, Deepika highlighted it at the press conference for the Cannes Collection 2017 and said,“It’s not just me who should be offended but each one of you should also be offended because it’s not just ignorance but also racism. Two people of similar colour are not the same people. So, you as fellow Indians should be calling them out and educating them. Instead of encouraging it, you should be educating them.”

On this particular issue, the Quantico star Priyanka also stated,“I did see that and you know that’s just ignorance and it’s not right. I guess I’m the most popular brown face that everyone has known. Every brown girl does not look the same. Don’t mistake it. Let’s try and tell us apart. That was not right and it’s not fair, she is a massive star from India."
