Prices of fruits, vegetables remain stable in posh areas markets

 

ISLAMABAD : Prices of fruits and vegetables remained overall stable with minor fluctuation in some items here at Kohsar Market, Super Market and Jinnah Super Market.

According to the Islamabad Market Committee's price list issued here on Thursday, the prices of various fruits and vegetables showed no major difference from the price list of the previous week.

According to price list, potato was sold at Rs 30 per kilogram, Onion Rs 40, Tomato Rs 105/78, Ginger Rs 86, Garlic (China) Rs 185, Garlic Local Rs 145, Lemon Rs 175, Lady Finger Rs 110/78, Pumpkin Rs 42, Brinjal Rs 40, Peas Rs 32, Fresh-Bean Rs 60, Tinda Walaiti (Imported gourd small) Rs 36, Cucumber Rs 28/24, Capsicum Rs 44/30, Green Chilli Rs 66/45, Cauliflower Rs 32/24, Cabbage Rs 24, Bitter Gourd Rs 115, Green Zucchini Rs 88, Spinach Rs 22/15, Raddish Rs 19, Turnip Rs 28, Yam Rs 75, Maroo Rs 30, Carrot Rs 37,Chicken Rs 157 and Egg per dozen Rs 87.

Likewise, the rates of fruits per kilogram of high and medium quality in Islamabad are as follows: Apple (kala kalo) Rs 140/98, Apple Golden Rs 105/60, Apple White Rs 95/57, Apple China Rs 200/142, Banana Pak Rs 115/68, Guava 100/55, Pomegranate Rs 235/170, Kino Rs 86/60, Pear China Rs 170/138, Melon Rs 55/40 and Strawberry Rs 220/175.
