Pakistan Navy's humanitarian operation continues

KARACHI: After successful evacuation of 51 stranded Pakistani and foreign nationals from Yemen and their  safe disembarkation at Djibouti, Pakistan Navy (PN) ship Shamsheer  has again arrived Hodeidah Port, Yemen on Tuesday for evacuation  of 08 stranded Pakistani & 04 Yemeni nationals.

The ship will disembark Pakistani evacuees at Gizan  Saudi Arabia, a press release of PN said.

All necessary arrangements have been made at Gizan Port for reception and completion of immigration formalities for all the evacuees by the Embassy of Pakistan, Saudi Arabia.

Pakistan Navy, while remaining cognizant of the developing situation in Yemen, had swiftly mobilized its resources by sailing  PNS Aslat and PNS Shamsheer since March 29, for the Red Sea/Gulf  of Aden for safe evacuation of stranded Pakistanis in Yemen.

Earlier, Pakistan Navy Ship ASLAT also evacuated 182 Pakistani and Foreign Nationals stranded in Al Mukalla, Yemen which were safely disembarked at Karachi on April 7, 2015.
