Indian Punjabi folk singer, Hans-Raj-Hans embraces Islam

LAHORE: Indian Punjabi folk and Sufi singer Hans-Raj-Hans claims to accept Islam as his religion and gives himself a new name 'Muhammad Yousaf'. Hans-Raj-Hans also said that he will most likely visit Madina in his next visit.

According to the sources, Hans-Raj-Hans converted to Islam in his recent visit to Lahore. He also expressed his wish to visit Madina. "I am very pleased to accept Islam as a religion. Islam is a religion which teaches us peace, love and Brotherhood.", says Hans-Raj-Hans. He also said that both India and Pakistan should resolve their problems and come together for a mutual discussion with peace.

It is pertinent to know that Hans-Raj-Hans is a Sikh by birth. He will use his original name from now on only for professional endeavors.

According to the Indian Media, son of Hans-Raj-Hans, Navraj has refused the reports of his father accepting Islam as a religion and said that his father is unwell and he is at his home in Jalandhar.
