Mr Malik gave these directives to the Chief Commissioner Islamabad in a meeting held to review law and order situation within the Federal Capital. Mr. Malik further stated that the Station House Officers (SHO) and Superintendent of Police would be held responsible if there were any violation. Strict actions were ordered against the violators. Mr. Malik further directed to strengthen the security of Islamabad by any means possible.

The Interior Minister further directed that a report should be submitted to the Interior Ministry within two weeks time about housing societies, which were not running their affairs legally.

He stated that the list of officers, who had been working for more than three years at the same post, should also be prepared and presented to his office.

The meeting was attended by senior officials of the Interior Ministry and other law enforcement officials.
