Fitna Al Khawarij-linked militant arrested in Karachi raid
1 min readPakistan Rangers Sindh and the Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) have arrested a militant affiliated with Fitna Al Khawarij during a joint intelligence-based operation in Karachi’s Jacob Lines area, officials said on Sunday.
The suspect, identified as Shehzad alias Dangar, was arrested during the operation, while weapons and explosives were also recovered from his possession, according to officials.
The arrested militant was affiliated with the Mansoor group of Fitna Al Khawarij, the officials said, adding that the group’s leader, Mansoor, had previously lived in Karachi’s Kuwari Colony in the Manghopir area before going into hiding in Waziristan during a security operation in Karachi to avoid arrest.
Suspect Shehzad joined Fitna Al Khawarij in 2025 after being indoctrinated by Mansoor, the sources added.
Officials said Mansoor later tasked Shehzad with arranging funding for the organisation from Karachi.
During interrogation, the suspect disclosed that he collected funds sent through Din Muhammad and other associates and forwarded the money to Fitna Al Khawarij leader Mansoor.
The funds were used to finance various terrorist activities, officials said.
The arrested suspect and his associates were also planning attacks on sensitive locations in Karachi, according to the officials.
Raids are underway to arrest the suspect’s other accomplices, the officials said.
