Gold prices fall sharply in Pakistan as global market weakens

Gold prices in Pakistan fell sharply on Tuesday, tracking losses in the international market, according to the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA).

The price of gold dropped by Rs4,300 per tola to settle at Rs427,436.

Similarly, the price of 10-gram gold declined by Rs3,687 to Rs366,457.

The decline came a day after gold prices had surged by Rs4,000 per tola, taking the rate to Rs431,736 on Monday.

In the international market, gold fell by $43 to $4,050 per ounce, including a premium of $20.

Meanwhile, silver prices also moved lower, with the price per tola falling by Rs174 to Rs6,223.
