Lebanon is an integral part of the agreement to end the ‌war with the US, Iran’s foreign ministry spokesperson said on Monday, adding that the draft memorandum mentions Lebanon thrice as it calls for an end to war on all fronts, as well as the respect of its sovereignty and its territorial integrity.

Speaking at his weekly press briefing, Baghaei said the agreement to end the war between Iran and the United States and the planned signing of the memorandum represented “a very important development.”

He said the development was the result of what he described as the resilience and resistance of the Iranian people during the conflict.

“We will not forget what crimes the Zionist regime and the United States committed against Iran and the Iranian people during this war,” Baghaei said, accusing them of attacking Iran’s nuclear facilities and killing Iranian military commanders and civilians.

Esmaeil Baghaei said diplomatic visits to regional countries ‌are on the agenda for Tehran, before the signing of the agreement due on Friday in Geneva, Switzerland.

“Regarding the manner and mechanism of signing the memorandum of understanding, a final decision will be made today and tomorrow, and its results will be officially announced,” he added.
