Gold climbs in Pakistan as global prices surge
1 min readGold prices in Pakistan rose sharply on Friday, with the per tola rate increasing by Rs7,250 to reach Rs439,966 amid a surge in international bullion markets.
According to the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association, the price of 10 grams of gold also climbed by Rs6,525, taking it to Rs375,947.
The increase in local prices mirrors gains in the global market, where gold rose by $72 to reach $4,175 per ounce.
Market observers said the upward trend in international precious metal prices has directly influenced domestic rates, driving the latest increase in Pakistan.
