Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz on Saturday directed authorities to take immediate steps to establish Model Agriculture Malls in 10 additional districts as part of the provincial government’s efforts to modernise the agriculture sector and improve services for farmers.

The initiative, launched under the chief minister’s farmer-friendly vision, aims to provide agricultural inputs, expert guidance and modern farming facilities under one roof.

According to officials, Model Agriculture Malls are already fully operational in Multan, Bahawalpur, Sahiwal and Sargodha.

The centres offer farmers access to agricultural supplies, professional consultation and other support services.

The chief minister has now ordered the expansion of the project to more districts, including Faisalabad, Jhang, Okara and Khanewal.

Similar facilities will also be established in Rajanpur, Vehari, Rahim Yar Khan, Attock, Mianwali and other parts of the province in phases.

The malls will also provide modern agricultural machinery on a rental basis. The project is being managed through collaboration with the private sector.

CM Maryam said the government was taking all possible measures to facilitate farmers and improve their livelihoods.

She added that significant steps were being taken to transform the agricultural sector and enhance productivity across Punjab.
