KP CM Sohail Afridi moves to reconcile with disgruntled MPAs
1 min readKhyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Sohail Afridi has moved to reconcile with disgruntled members of the PTI in the provincial assembly, sources said on Sunday.
In this connection, Afridi visited the residence of the PTI MPA from Khyber District Abdul Ghani Afridi, on Saturday night.
Ghani Afridi had expressed displeasure over not being included in the provincial cabinet, the sources pointed out.
During the meeting, the chief minister reportedly assured Abdul Ghani Afridi that his concerns would be addressed and the issues raised by him would be resolved.
Afridi also held telephone conversations with other estranged PTI lawmakers to discuss their grievances.
Several lawmakers have reportedly communicated their concerns to the party’s central leadership, which has instructed the chief minister to accommodate the disgruntled members through various responsibilities and positions.
Abdul Ghani Afridi told reporters that he discussed issues related to the overall development of Khyber District with the chief minister.
He added that the meeting also covered matters concerning solutions to problems faced by the public.
PTI sources said the central leadership’s instructions to Chief Minister Afridi are aimed at ensuring that the party maintains unity by addressing the concerns of aggrieved legislators.
