PM Shehbaz, Qatari premier discuss regional peace efforts in phone call

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Sunday received a telephone call from Qatar’s Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, during which the two leaders discussed the evolving regional situation and ongoing peace efforts.

During the conversation, both leaders exchanged views on recent developments in the region and reviewed progress on initiatives aimed at promoting peace and stability.

PM Shehbaz expressed Pakistan’s appreciation for Qatar’s continued support for Pakistan’s peace efforts and reaffirmed the strong brotherly relations between the two countries.

The two sides stressed the importance of constructive engagement by all parties to ensure the success of ongoing diplomatic efforts and maintain regional harmony.

The prime minister conveyed his warm regards to Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Emir of Qatar, and said he was looking forward to the Qatari ruler’s upcoming visit to Pakistan.

He said the visit would further strengthen bilateral ties and expand cooperation between Pakistan and Qatar across multiple sectors.
