NCT member Jaehyun is expected to complete his mandatory military service on May 3, 2026, marking his return after approximately 18 months in the Republic of Korea Army military band.

Jaehyun enlisted on November 4, 2024, after being accepted into a special assignment unit in the Army band, following a period of solo music and acting activities, including releases and film work.

His service placement has allowed him to continue performance-related duties during his enlistment.

He is the second member of NCT to enlist, following group leader Taeyong, who entered earlier in 2024 and was discharged in December 2025 after completing his service.

Taeyong’s return marked the group’s first completed military cycle, with fans describing it as the beginning of a “post-enlistment era” for NCT.

As of 2026, the group is in a staggered enlistment phase across its subunits. Jaehyun remains in active service, while Doyoung and Jungwoo enlisted in December 2025 and are currently serving.

Several other members, including Haechan, Jeno, and Jaemin, are expected to enlist in the coming years, depending on eligibility timelines, while foreign members such as Johnny, Yuta, Ten, and WayV members are exempt from mandatory military service.

Fans, known as NCTzens, have been actively marking the countdown to Jaehyun’s return, with online communities expressing growing anticipation for his comeback.

No additional verified information beyond official enlistment and discharge timelines has been included in this report.
