Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Barrister Gohar Ali Khan said on Friday that Bushra Bibi, the wife of incarcerated ex-premier and PTI founder Imran Khan, was taken to the hospital.

“I was informed through a message that Bushra Bibi had been shifted to the hospital last night and that I would be briefed about the treatment,” Gohar said in a post on X.

The chairman said that he will request that her family members be allowed to meet her.

He added that he will also request that Imran’s family be allowed to meet with him and that he be moved to the hospital for treatment.

“The earlier, the better. It is their basic right according to law,” he said.

“Their health is too serious, and every Pakistani is deeply concerned.

Moreover, Maryam Riaz Wattoo, Bushra Bibi’s sister, posted on X that the family had reached Islamabad.

“She will be going through a crucial surgery today. Please pray for her,” she said.

An accountability court in Islamabad in 2025 had sentenced Imran and Bushra Bibi to 17 years in jail in the Toshakhana II case.
