Security sources on Monday warned that India is preparing a “false flag” operation against Pakistan involving detainees, including Pakistani nationals and Kashmiris who inadvertently crossed the border.

According to the sources, hundreds of Pakistanis and Kashmiri individuals are currently held in Indian custody. Some of these detainees are reportedly being transferred from different prisons and gathered at undisclosed locations for what officials describe as “malicious purposes.”

The sources further said that several Indian prisoners could also be included in the plan to create a more “convincing narrative.”

The purported operation, they said, may be used by pro-government Indian media and Foreign Minister Subrahmanyam Jaishankar to project it against Pakistan.

The move is reportedly aimed at covering up diplomatic setbacks and diverting attention away from Pakistan through a staged and outdated narrative.

The plan is said to have been devised by India’s intelligence agency RAW in coordination with the external affairs leadership.
