Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Monday met Federal Minister for National Food Security Rana Tanveer Hussain, where the overall food stock situation in the country was reviewed.

During the meeting, the prime minister extended Eid-ul-Fitr greetings to the federal minister.

Rana Tanveer briefed the prime minister on national food reserves and informed him that essential food commodities are available in sufficient quantity across the country.

The minister also updated the prime minister on progress regarding exports of food items to Gulf countries.
