Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Sultan of Oman Haitham bin Tariq on Wednesday discussed the evolving regional situation, stressing peace and stability through dialogue.

During a telephone call, the two leaders exchanged Eid greetings and conveyed best wishes for prosperity and well-being to their peoples and the wider Muslim world.

The prime minister expressed solidarity with Oman over the loss of lives and injuries in recent attacks, and underscored the need for calm, stability, and constructive engagement.

Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening longstanding bilateral relations.

PM Shehbaz reiterated his invitation to the Omani leader to visit Pakistan, while also accepting an invitation to visit Oman at mutually convenient dates.
