Pakistan on Wednesday extended the restriction of its airspace for Indian aircraft until April 24, 2026.

The closure of airspace has been announced in the latest NOTAM issued by the Pakistan Airports Authority.

The airspace ban includes not only commercial flights from Indian airlines but also military aircraft operated by India.

According to the Pakistan Airports Authority (PAA), the airspace closure remains enforced for all Indian aircraft, including those used by the Indian military, until April 24, 2026.

According to the notification, a further one-month ban has been imposed on Indian airlines and aircraft registered in India, restricting their access to Pakistani airspace until April 24.

Pakistan had initially closed its airspace to Indian flights on April 23, 2025.

The closure has resulted in significant financial losses for Indian airlines, estimated in billions of rupees.
