Security forces killed five terrorists belonging to Indian Proxy Fitna Al Khwarij in an intelligence-based operation in the Lakki Marwat district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Sunday.

According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the operation was launched after receiving credible information about the presence of India-backed militants in the area.

The forces successfully targeted the terrorists’ hideout, and after an intense exchange of fire, all five militants were neutralised.

Weapons and ammunition were also recovered from the deceased terrorists, the ISPR added.

The slain terrorists were involved in numerous terrorist activities in the area.

A spokesperson stated that sanitisation operations are ongoing in the area to eliminate any remaining militants.

The ISPR emphasised that the country’s security forces and law enforcement agencies, under the vision of Azm-e-Istehkam, will continue counter-terrorism efforts with full intensity to ensure the complete elimination of foreign-supported terrorism from the country.
