Six terrorists were killed during a joint operation by police and the Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) in Lachi tehsil of Kohat district in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

According to District Police Officer Shahbaz Elahi, police and CTD teams carried out a search and strike operation within the limits of Lachi police station after receiving intelligence reports.

Officials said the suspects opened fire on the security forces during the raid, prompting a strong response in which six terrorists were killed. Heavy weapons were also recovered from their possession.

Authorities stated that the slain militants were involved in several attacks and sabotage activities targeting security forces.

The DPO said a joint search operation in the area is continuing to eliminate any remaining threats, while efforts have also been intensified to locate and arrest facilitators linked to the terrorists.
