Kim Kardashian has once again faced criticism online after sharing an update about her pets, with the post drawing renewed backlash from social media users and animal rights supporters.

The 45-year-old reality star shared a photo on Instagram showing four Pomeranian puppies and captioned the image, “welcome to the fam.”

Kardashian did not provide further details about the new pets, but the post quickly sparked reactions from followers.

Some users questioned the decision, pointing to what they described as the Kardashian family’s history of acquiring pets that later “disappear in a few months.”

Several comments urged the reality star to adopt animals instead of buying them. One user wrote that she should adopt from the Humane Society of the United States, noting that many dogs and cats need homes.

Another comment said pets “are not accessories” and should be treated with care and respect.

Others asked about the four puppies Kardashian had previously gifted to her children during Christmas, questioning where those pets are now.

The criticism follows earlier remarks by Ingrid Newkirk, cofounder of People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA), who had strongly criticised Kardashian over her approach to pets.

Newkirk had said that “puppies are not plushies” and described it as a missed opportunity for Kardashian to promote adopting animals from shelters.
