Senior Pakistani actress Atiqa Odho has revealed the background of her dispute with actor Fahad Mustafa, saying she apologised so that his feelings would not be hurt and the matter would not escalate further.

The issue surfaced after Atiqa Odho, during a programme, advised Fahad Mustafa to work with actresses according to his age.

Fahad Mustafa later responded during his live game show with sarcastic and age-related remarks, after which debate on social media intensified.

Later, both artists apologised to each other, ending the dispute and reconciling.

Speaking in a podcast, Atiqa Odho said her intention had never been to hurt anyone’s feelings, which is why she decided to apologise to Fahad Mustafa.

She praised his hard work and success, saying Fahad Mustafa is a self-made and hardworking individual who built his career through dedication and effort.

According to her, it is not appropriate to criticise someone’s entire career based on a comment made jokingly or sarcastically.

Atiqa Odho added that Fahad Mustafa had been facing strong negative reactions over the issue, which she believed was unfair because a single sentence should not affect someone’s years of hard work and career.
