Govt reviews evacuation of Pakistan nationals from Iran
1 min readPrime Minister Shehbaz Sharif chaired a high-level meeting on Thursday to review the evacuation of Pakistani nationals from Iran and the situation of Pakistanis living in Gulf countries, officials said.
During the meeting, officials briefed the prime minister on the current situation regarding the evacuation of Pakistanis from Iran.
Officials said that, by the grace of Allah, Pakistani nationals were returning home safely. They added that the Embassy of Pakistan in Azerbaijan was fully active in facilitating the process.
The office was also continuously monitoring the external situation, the briefing said.
Prime Minister Sharif thanked Azerbaijan for its assistance in the evacuation of Pakistani nationals from Iran.
Officials also briefed the meeting on facilities being provided to Pakistanis living in Gulf countries.
PM said Pakistani embassies were always available to provide facilities and support to Pakistani nationals abroad.
