Hezbollah claims drone strike on Northern Israel airbase
1 min readHezbollah said it carried out a drone attack on Israel’s Ramat David Airbase in northern Israel in response to Israeli airstrikes on Lebanon.
In a statement, the group said it targeted radar sites and control rooms at the airbase at around 5 am on Tuesday.
It described the operation as retaliation for Israeli attacks that hit areas in Lebanon, including southern Beirut, which it said resulted in dozens of deaths.
The Israeli army said the drone attack on the airbase was intercepted and did not cause damage.
The Israeli Air Force also announced that airstrikes have continued, including operations in Beirut.
Earlier, the Israeli military issued warnings to residents in the southern suburbs of Beirut, urging the evacuation of a designated area, stating that Hezbollah facilities were located there.
According to the Lebanese Ministry of Health, more than 50 people have been killed and over 150 injured in Israeli airstrikes, with several buildings in Beirut and other areas destroyed.
