The Central Apex Committee under the National Action Plan 2021, chaired by Senior Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon, formally approved the Comprehensive Plan of Action for the Information Domain, officials said on Tuesday.

The meeting decided to forward the plan to the federal government through the RNAP Secretariat.

It also approved conducting quarterly reviews of implementation progress and continuing regular reporting, according to a statement from the provincial government.

Participants discussed strategies for coordinated campaigns via electronic, digital, and outdoor media, strengthening the national narrative through films and documentary programs, and countering hostile narratives following the “Battle of Right.”

The Senior Minister said the plan includes measures such as forming a unified national narrative, promoting Pakistani identity and the message of Pakistan, responding effectively to extremism and misleading propaganda, enhancing digital accountability, and raising public awareness.

“Strengthening and integrating the national narrative is the need of the hour,” he said, adding that the Sindh government would continue to cooperate fully with federal directives to promote national security, peace, stability, and social harmony.
