An initial medical report on the health of jailed former prime minister Imran Khan has been submitted to the Supreme Court, sources said on Monday.

According to the report, a team of specialist doctors conducted a detailed medical examination of Imran Khan in Adiala Jail.

The sources said the examination found significant improvement in Imran Khan’s right eye following treatment provided at the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS).

Doctors maintained that the vision in Imran Khan’s right eye has recovered by approximately 70 per cent after medical treatment.

The specialist team expressed satisfaction with the ongoing treatment and recovery process.

Following the examination, the doctors also briefed the PTI leadership and Imran Khan’s family members about his health condition.

Meanwhile, the sources said that details regarding a report by the “friend of the court” were ‘leaked’ in the media.

However, no official statement has been issued in this regard.
