Investigation police in Lahore have recovered a 14-year-old girl who was abducted six months ago and traced to Balochistan, officials said on Friday.

The victim, identified as Yasmin, was rescued during an operation, while four suspects, including two women, were arrested by Sherakot police.

According to investigators, a female suspect abducted the girl with the help of accomplices and later transported her to Balochistan, where she was sold.

Police said the arrested group is suspected of abducting and selling at least five women in similar incidents.

During the operation, another recovered woman was also found to be a resident of Dera Ghazi Khan, officials added.

Authorities said further investigations are under way to identify additional accomplices and dismantle the alleged trafficking network.
