Pakistan’s Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defence Staff, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, said on Thursday that Kashmir will soon witness the ‘Dawn of Freedom,’ reflecting the aspirations and destiny of the Kashmiri people.

Field Marshal visited Muzaffarabad on Kashmir Solidarity Day, according to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR). He laid a wreath at the Jammu and Kashmir Martyrs’ Memorial and honoured those who lost their lives in the struggle for Kashmir’s freedom.

During his visit, he met with local elders and ex-servicemen, reaffirming Pakistan’s commitment to providing political, moral, and diplomatic support to the Kashmiri people.

He said Indian actions, including human rights violations and Hindutva-based measures, had failed to suppress the resolve and struggle of Kashmiris.

He reiterated that Pakistan would continue to raise the Kashmir issue at every international forum until it was resolved in accordance with United Nations Security Council resolutions.

He also inspected the frontline and met soldiers deployed there, emphasising that Pakistan’s armed forces were fully prepared to respond to both conventional and hybrid threats.

He directed that constant vigilance and full operational readiness be maintained to respond to any aggression promptly and effectively.

Upon his arrival in Muzaffarabad, Field Marshal was received by the Commander of the Rawalpindi Corps, the ISPR added.
